Reading train - Improve your reading skills

can you give me some tips to improve my reading comprehension skills? please? i really need it!?

please. i had an exam and they said that i need to improve on my reading comprehension skills. i really need this because it's my ticket to pass to the University Of The Philippines. Please? This is college life we're talking about.. :((

1. Read from a reputable paper like the washington post out loud.
2. Since an entrance is bound with time limit...you may prefer to scan and skim...important words... from this you may have the edge to answer does question at the end of a reading material. HTH
3. see if u attend the classes regularly then it is good to remember the points easily....... else u prepare ur own notes or take someone's notes and read thoroughly.......... if u understand write down or underline those pts......... better u use text book for complete knowledge.
