I really like reading books on English Literature. This is not a problem but I would like some suggestions ..?
if anyone can give me some. There is nothing like the good old book/s. But nowadays anyone can download any EBook from the internet and its much easier. But I find it a bit awkward / tiring reading so many pages on my computer, but again it will be much costlier to buy books which I would like to read. Yes the library may be an option but again all good books may not be available there.

- OK, let's get this straight: you want to read books. You like old books. But they are too expensive. You can download e-books. But you don't like reading on your computer. You can go to the library. But books might not be available there. My suggestion: buy used books. Not expensive.
- Norton Anthology of English Literature. Lots of used copies around. Try getting used copies of anthologies off E-bay or Amazon.
- I absolutely agree with you about reading from computer is tiring.im studying english literature in university.believe me our books are so so much expensive.but our teacher have those books and they copy them to us.you should go and find someone who has those books i think otherwise they are expensive.
- Read shakespeare.buy them they r worth it
- Library, library, library Pretty much any library will order you any book in the state system which will cover any classic, and even the non-classics of a classic author. Most will even let you order the books on the net, then just pick them up in person.
- Try looking in a used book store--look in your phone book for the addresses. Yard sales often sell books for less than a dollar. Thrift stores also sell books. EBay is a great place to find books of all kinds. Just do a search for "classics." Amazon.com also sells used books. If your library does not have a book you are looking for, they will order it for you. You may also be interested in french literature, such as, The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexander Dumas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo. To Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee is a great American novel-read it twice. Books by John Steinbeck, Mark Twain and Washington Irving (Legend of Sleepy Hollow) are great reads. Tale of Two Cities, by Dickens is a great book. You may not be able to read some of the older novels as fast as the contemporary novels, but they are well worth the effort, and in doing so, you will realize that your analytical abilities have improved greatly.
- Most libraries have an interlibrary loan system that ship books from affiliates throughout the state to your location and let you check them out normally.
- You should be able to make reservations for books which are not available at your library- they will have the book you want sent from another library for you. I REALLY recommend Tolstoy and Dostoevsky who, while they are Russian literature and not English, are both excellent writers. I found Crime and Punishment a particularly good read, I could hardly bear to put it down, if you ask me, it's worth actually buying that one!
