What should I do to stop reading books?
I wish I could just read books everyday and all day, but it's impossible, because I have to go to school and work. I love reading books about any subject. Right now, I'm into reading about the Roman Empire and its collapse. To me, reading books is what gets me through hard and boring days. I love reading the stories of the past and it just amaze me. So how can I stop that?

- Why would you want to?
- Well, how about getting up and vacuuming the rug?
- I don't think that is a bad thing. Knowledge is a gift. But if you really want to stop reading so much, waste more time on Y!A.
- Just park yourself in front of the TV like every other, ignorant, uneducated, red blooded american does. It seems to work for the rest of us. What are you talking about??? Keep reading sister, educate yourself any way possible. If reading books is really taking over you life I suppose you could try to find another hobbie but if you're still going to school and work then read on!
- Start gardening. Learn about life instead of the stories of the past.
- Why would you want to stop? If you feel it has grown into an addiction, set aside time for reading and other times for important activities. Treat it as a treat for having done the boring things.:)
- I'm with Ioshea65! But you sound just like me -- I don't go anywhere, anytime, without a book in my hand, purse, or pocket. Usually 2 or 3 at once, even. But, you are right. You have a life, too. So -- my solution is chapters. When I reach the end of a chapter, I stop. Do what I have to do -- for me, work, clean, cook, whatever. Then another chapter and on to the next "job". If the chapters are too long, I may settle for just "so many" paragraphs. But, basically, it's like putting yourself on a diet -- no pigging out on the Roman Empire tonite -- just one or two invasions and hold the rest of the orgies until tomorrow!!
- I suggest that you don't stop it, i think you should read more, especially if you enjoy it.
